A fully loaded gun was found in a toy aisle of a Target at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina last Friday. The store employee who discovered it thought it was a toy at first.
While investigating a potential store theft on May 30, a Target employee noticed a 9mm handgun placed on top of a superhero Playskool toy box. The gun, placed in plain view, was fully loaded with live ammo.
Surveillance footage shows a male adult walking up and down the aisles prior to the discovery of the weapon. The police have since released a photo of a man linked to the incident.
Some shoppers feel that it was no accident that the loaded gun was left in a toy aisle.
“I don’t think someone would accidentally drop off a gun. I think he purposely left it there for a child to pick up and think, ‘Oh it’s a toy gun,’ and accidentally point it at somebody and it goes off,” Kennedy McClain said in a WMBP report.
