Boston Bombing Anniversary: Can Artificial Intelligence Predict Crimes?



April 15 (Bloomberg) — It’s been one year since the Boston Marathon bombings, and in the aftermath the city beefed up its security with an artificial intelligence system called AISight (pronounced “eye sight”). The software is already in place in cities like Chicago and Washington, and BRS Labs claims it can sometimes detect crime before it even happens. Bloomberg’s Adam Johnson went to their headquarters in Houston to learn more.
