Body Found Stuffed in Suitcase in Glendale

A suitcase, filled with human remains, was spotted resting at the bottom of the Verdugo Wash, which is a tributary of the Los Angeles River.

LA county public works employees recently stumbled across a gruesome sight. A suitcase, filled with human remains, was spotted resting at the bottom of the Verdugo Wash, which is a tributary of the Los Angeles River.

At about 9 in the morning, the staffers were cleaning out the wash due to expected rainfall. The suitcase had been dumped in a publicly inaccessible area of the wash, close to Glorietta Avenue bridge.

No evident stab markings or gunshot wounds were spotted on the male body, but nevertheless authorities suspect foul play.

The unidentified man’s remains are fully intact and the body was clothed. Local residents in Glendale were obviously terrified to learn about the incident.

Law enforcement made sure to point out they didn’t believe there was any threat to the community. Police said they suspect the victim was ‘targeted’, murdered and thrown off the bridge.

A homicide investigation is now underway.
