A Taiwanese man is charged with sexual assault after he took in his 15-year-old high school girlfriend who willingly had sex with him.
The minor, whose surname is Lin (林), was locked out by her mother on the night of March 29th, as she didn’t go home until midnight. Her mother would not open the door, even after Lin called her father who works in China for help. The schoolgirl turned to her 18 year-old boyfriend, surnamed Yeh (葉) and stayed with him for three days. The two had sex during the girl’s stay at Yeh’s house.
The angry mother went to Yeh’s house on the 31st along with the police, and brought the girl home. She then insisted on sueing Yeh for sexual assault and family disturbance. Police have thrown out the domestic disturbance accusation since Lin was locked out, and went to her boyfriend voluntarily. However, since he slept with a minor, he was charged with sexual offense.
