A trial is now underway for a Texas woman who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death using a stiletto heel. On June 9th, 2013, 45-year-old Ana Trujillo dialed 911.
When cops arrived at the victim, Dr. Alf Stefan Andersson’s home, they found Trujillo covered in the blood. Andersson, who worked as a University of Houston medical researcher, was found in the hallway of his residence.
A stiletto shoe had been resting next to his body. The victim had 10 wounds to his head and another 15 or so wounds to the remainder of his body. The injuries pointed to the stiletto heel as the weapon of choice in the violent crime.
In court, Trujillo pleaded not guilty. Her defense team is citing self defense in relation to Andersson’s death. In that version of events, her attorneys say Trujillo and the victim got into an argument that escalated to the point of no return, as Andersson got physical.
The prosecution seems to agree that an altercation occurred as police noted Andersson became upset at a nightclub when another man offered to buy Trujillo a drink.
However they argue that Trujillo also strangled Anderson in the fight that ensued at the victim’s home, proving it was overkill.
