Prosecutors are seeking arrest warrants for Yoo Dae-kyun ,… the eldest son of the owner of the sunken Sewol-ho ferry,… and his aide.
Yoo was arrested last Friday with 34-year old Park Soo-kyung , who allegedly helped him avoid being caught.
Both had been on the police’s wanted list since the deadly ferry sinking in April that left more than 300 dead or missing.
Prosecutors are also questioning a woman who provided the studio apartment in Yongin where Yoo and Park were holed up.
They’ve also summoned Yoo’s driver and another man who accompanied Yoo and Park when they first moved to the studio apartment in late April.
The Incheon Prosecutors Office want to detain Yoo Dae-kyun for questioning on charges that he embezzled about nine-point-six million U.S. dollars from Cheonghaejin Marine, the operator of the sunken ferry, and its affiliates.
