U.S. sends 130 military personnel to Iraq
The United States has sent an additional 1-hundred-30 military personnel to Iraq… to help contain the threat from hardline… Islamic State militants.

Paul, Washington has already approved U.S. airstrikes to aid Iraqi security forces.
What’s this latest military team hoping to accomplish?
U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, who recommended the operation, said.. they will solely act as military advisers… clearly stating they will not engage in combat.
The group of 1-hundred-30 marines and special operation members arrived in the city of Erbil on Tuesday.
Their mission will be to help assess the humanitarian situation in the northern Kurdish region.
This… as tens of thousands of Iraqi Ya-zi-dis are still said to be trapped on Mount Sinjar… in desperate need of food, water and shelter.
Meanwhile in Baghdad, a suicide bomber attacked a checkpoint near the home of the newly appointed Iraqi Prime Minister… Haider al-Abadi.
According to local media, there has been no reports of casualties.
