Candy Crush developer, King Makes IPO at $22.50



(CBS2/FOX28) – It’s the most popular game on Facebook with nearly 100 million daily users. Today, the makers of “Candy Crush Saga” want to see if they can find similar success when they hit the New York stock exchange. When the NYSE opens, its the public investors who finally get the chance to see if the game really lives up to its name, and “crushes” the market.
The value of King Digital, the company responsible for the addictive game, looks to skyrocket to $7 billion dollars…Making this one of the biggest initial public offerings of the year.
Candy Crush’s dedicated following has lead the game’s earnings to spike 7,000% from last year, raking in well over $560 million dollars.
Now the question investors are asking: Will the company be able to crank out more games people can’t put down?
