Hitachi, Ltd has been hired to create an elevator that will not only efficiently and safely transport people throughout the building’s 95 floors, but will do so in record speed.
Company spokespeople say that it’s been designed to reach speeds of 45 miles per hour and could thus get people from the lobby to the top floor in 43 seconds.
At present, the fastest elevator in the world, which is in Taipei, has a top speed of about 37 miles per hour.
Not content with just making theirs faster, Hitachi says they also put a considerable amount of effort into ensuring a comfortable ride.
To help avoid the problem of blocked ears and the pain they can cause, the car has adjusting air pressure.
The system is also on special rollers that prevent the car from shaking when the building is hit by strong winds.
The Guangzhou CTF Finance Center is expected to be complete in 2016.
