Oregon Sheriff’s Department Vehicle Taken Over By Bees

The presence of a swarm of bees kept deputies from Oregon’s Washington County Sheriff’s Department from driving one of their own vehicles.

Bees may be tiny, but they wield a lot of power.

The presence of a swarm of them kept deputies from Oregon’s Washington County Sheriff’s Department from driving one of their own vehicles.

The motorcycle was parked at a crash scene when a seriously large number of bees decided to get comfy on it.

After taking a moment to shoot some video of the sight, the problem solving commenced.

One of the deputies decided to try his hand at bee wrangling and began efforts to corral them into a box.

It worked, but the whole process took over an hour.

Once the bees were safely contained, they were picked up by an area beekeeper.

The department shared the footage they’d taken on Facebook, assuring all who watched it that, “No bees were harmed in the freeing of this motorcycle.”
