Aladdin City Coming To Dubai

There’s an Aladdin City being planned for Dubai.

Dubai continues its breathtaking construction pace and is reportedly moving forward with a project called ‘Aladdin City’.

The project is comprised of a series of elaborate towers which characters such as Sinbad the Sailor and Aladdin reportedly provided the inspiration for. The project will encompass about 4,000-acres and the highest tower will reach up to 34 stories tall.

They’ve been designed to resemble things like the genie lamp and will be connected via golden walkways. At least one hotel is going to be on the grounds and there will be enough parking to accommodate up to 900 vehicles.

The director-general of Dubai Municipality stated, “We plan to start work on the project next year; we have our own funds to finance the project…The project aims to develop towers to be the icons of legends of the past with a touch of beauty and tourism characteristic of the city.”

The development will be located in the Dubai Creek area, which is a historic location, but it’s outside the area under consideration as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The announcement for the project was made in April of last year, however the estimated construction costs have not yet been publicly released.
